This is how and where it all started.....we needed a extra strong, extra rigid, extra deep fastener to securely hold the Main Bearing Caps in-place. Since the Main Bearing Caps can be considered the foundation of the engine, and any movement there will effect everything else, these bolts had to be the best. This is where we turned, to find the 12.9DIN super tough socket head screws, and also the very, very hard and precision machined Heavy Duty Washers that support, and spread the clamping forces over a wide area. These are the best you can buy, and we even found that we could deep set the bolts an extra 5-10mm for an additional 75% more thread contact, pull-out strength.
